Does the day counter include both the start and end dates?
By default, the calculator counts the number of days between two dates, excluding the start date and including the end date (the mathematical difference). If you want to include both endpoints — for example, counting the total duration of an event — add 1 to the result.
How do I calculate days between dates across years?
The calculator handles leap years automatically. From January 1, 2023 to January 1, 2024 = 365 days; since 2024 is a leap year, from January 1, 2024 to January 1, 2025 = 366 days. For very long spans, the calculator accounts for all leap years in between — no manual adjustments needed.
How do I find how many days until a future event?
Enter today's date as the start and the event date as the end. The result is the number of days remaining. For deadlines, contract periods, or project timelines, you can also count working days only by excluding weekends — though this calculator counts all calendar days.
